[Swan] Specific kernel versions for VTI support?

Howdy!

The Route-based VPN using VTI<https://libreswan.org/wiki/Route-based_VPN_using_VTI> article states that we need "a recent linux-3.x or 4.x kernel".  Does anyone know specifically what's the minimum 3.x and 4.x kernels for this?  Apologies, my searches didn't find it.
