FYI, the assert is guarding an NSS function call that really likes to dump core.
We'll need some more context, as in an extract from a debug log
leading up to the assert, if we're to figure out why it is happening.

Given this is loosely connected to NSS, check and, perhaps, rebuild
your certificate database.

For this specific code, there should be little different between 3.14 and 3.15.
