I tried leftnexthop=%defaultroute for both conn %default and conn
L2TP-Win2KXP, and then tried an explicit gateway IP for leftnexthop,
but neither change made any difference.

I've forwarded a new plutodebug=all log and ipsec barf to Paul, so
we'll see if that turns anything up...
