This article talks about two "sanitizers" being added to GCC: <http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=news_item&px=MTQ0OTc> They were ported from LLVM to GCC 4.9, which won't be released for some time. Perhaps we should build and test with LLVM (in addition to GCC) in the hopes of catching more bugs.
