I like "ipsec setup status" command in openswan because it tell clearly how
many tunnels are up successfully.
Is there a similar command in libreswan ?

[root at lab-rh6-01 ~]# ipsec setup status
IPsec running - pluto pid: 12991
pluto pid 12991
1 tunnels up
some eroutes exist
[root at lab-rh6-01 ~]# ipsec version
Linux Openswan U2.6.32/K2.6.32-358.0.1.el6.x86_64 (netkey)
See `ipsec --copyright' for copyright information.
[root at lab-rh6-01 ~]#

I tagged src point at R1 and call it 3.0.2 to make my own centos package.

[root at left8510w ~]# ipsec version
Linux Libreswan 3.0.2 (netkey) on 2.6.32-279.22.1.el6.x86_64
[root at left8510w ~]# ipsec setup status
Redirecting to: service ipsec status
