Have you tried doing this on the big bloated build machine:

$ sudo virsh dominfo build
Max memory:     524288 KiB
Used memory:    524288 KiB
$ make kvmsh-build
[root at swanbase ~]# cd /source
[root at swanbase source]# make man
[root at swanbase source]# ...
