[Swan-dev] reference file bugs?

When I ran the test suite last night, I found three failures that look
like obsolete reference logs. And one failure of the sanitizers.

Could whoever is responsible fix the reference logs and the sanitizer?

Note: I was not looking at all test failures. There are likely other
places these problems show up.
