[Swan-dev] my test run hung last night

I'm surprised to find that gdb can tell one something about a running
python program.

Apparently swantest is hung in line 1854:
    th_responder.join()
It's never going to finish the join.

Antony: any idea what's going on?

I've attached the output of gdb's "where" command.
