| For some reason, on my testing system, west's kernel is newer than east's.

| east: 3.9.5-301.fc19.x86_64

The mystery deepens.

Only east was running the old kernel.  And it did have the new one
installed.  I didn't see anything odd in the grub environment.

Fixed by a reboot.
