[Swan-dev] Annoying change in behaviour versus openswan

In openswan you were always (as far as I can tell) able to use the same
config on both sides of a connection and it would determine if it was
left or right based on the IP addresses available and such.

In libreswan you can't do this anymore in some cases.  Setting
nexthop=%defaultroute for both left and right now doesn't seem to work
and you have to make sure to only set it in the config for your side.

Is this an intentional change in behaviour?  It certainly is a bit
inconvinient and breaks a long established expected behaviour.
