    building: move distribution specific options to mk/defaults/linux.mk
    
    moving these from packaging to mk/defaults/linux.mk would help
    running make base easier. Otherwise you may have to specify them in
    Makefile.inc.local
    
    Debian Jessie (8.x) is too old does not have proper support in /etc/os-release
