    egrep: stop using deprecated egrep command, replace with 'grep -E'
    
    From grep man page:
    
    "Direct invocation as either egrep or fgrep is deprecated, but is
    provided  to allow historical applications that rely on them to run
    unmodified."

    barf: journalctl: change log default to 24 hours
    
    1 hour is not enough for rekey problems.
    Syslog services: don't try to show non-existent configs.
    Tidy more coding style.
