    kernel: don't ignore SIGCHLD while running the connection shell script
    
    Since the event-loop has blocked SIGCHILD delivery, setting it to
    back to default (ignore) will cause any blocked signals from an
    unrelated process to be lost.
    
    The code pre-dates history.  I suspect the original purpose was somehow
    connected to trying to correctly implement asynchronous signal delivery.
